Good News for Michael Buble Fans!

According to The Christmas Newswire,  plans are firmly in place for a Christmas special coming this season from Michael Buble on NBC. The intent is to promote his new Christmas album featuring a duet with Shania Twain. The one-hour special, which does not yet have an air date, will feature holiday songs and sketch comedy segments. His label, 143/Reprise, has not released any details on the holiday album. Buble has recorded a duet on “White Christmas” with Shania Twain and a version of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” for the album. His first holiday album, the EP “Let it Snow,” was released in 2003. He has said in interviews he will be more involved in the arrangements on the new album. The Canadian crooner has had a long relationship with NBC, having first appeared on “Today” on Valentine’s Day in 2003. A January 2010 appearance on “Saturday Night Live” featured a duet with Sharon Jones on and “Baby (You’ve Got What It Takes)” and a solo performance of “Haven’t Met You Yet.” His last album, “Crazy Love,” which was his fifth studio effort, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart in October 2009.

Hollywood Nutcrackers: I love these things!

I fell in love with a set of nutcrackers last year and when visiting the stores again in Estes park today , I did some research to find out what brand they were. They are Hollywood Nutcrackers, designed by artist Holly Adler.

These are my favorites. I love the colors!

I'd also like to have this set for my dining room.

And for a more traditional touch, they have red, white and green pieces too.

New Line of Vintage Scrapbooking Paper from Reminisce

One thing that us scrapbookers do well, is hunt down an awesome piece of paper and we have no hesitance with sharing our finds. My friend Carrie forwarded this awesome paper to me this morning wondering if I liked "this kind of thing". I have to laugh, because it's EXACTLY what I'm in love with at the moment and perfect for some projects I want to complete for my home this Christmas.

If you liked to buy this line, you can find it at Scrap Your Trip . Carrie already has a great idea to use them for this fabulous project in CHRISTMAS STYLE

They also have a great new line of travel paper in black and white. These would be great for making your own pieces of art for your home. They are beautiful pieces of paper.

Appliance Art...Oh My!

Now this is something I haven't seen before Appliance Art .

You can buy these cover panels for both your dishwasher and fridge. They have a variety of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas to choose from. I would say, even this true die hard holiday junkie will have to pass up this wonderful opportunity.

Pauseeee....Halloween Shift

As October creeps upon us, you will see more and more Halloween post on my blog. I live for Christmas, look forward to St. Patrick's Day, but the crazy, dark, fun side of me comes out at Halloween. Example, this makeup job. AMAZING!!

Now for a laugh, check out this story from

What seemed like a grisly fish tale turned out to be a bizarre but harmless story.
A child fishing on Wednesday morning hooked what he thought was a human foot in Lake Marie in Antioch.
The foot fell off the hook three feet from the boat, and the child and his fellow anglers — two adults — called police to report their apparently grotesque near catch.
The Lake County sheriff’s office took the call seriously, and crews spent 8 1/2 hours searching for the foot. Members of the Antioch Fire Dive Team, the sheriff’s Marine Unit and sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division were all involved. Special sonar equipment was even brought in to help search the murky waters.
In the end, the foot story was mostly true.

They found it — but it wasn’t real.
It was a Halloween prop.

USPS for Christmas 2011 and 2012

As usual the 2011 Christmas stamps have been available for preview for some time now. They are titled  I like bright, non traditional colors so I'm looking forward to these stamps. They will go on sale to the public on October 13th, so you can get that little task out of your way early!  “Holiday Baubles".  Based on glass ornaments from the 50s, the colorful illustrations give a retro spin to the Christmas spirit. Created by Linda Fountain, an illustrator from Hilton Head Island, S.C., the designs were sketched, rendered with cut paper and then scanned into digital files.

Did you know, that they also have previewed the 2012 Christmas stamps? Starting in July, they are using I think this set will not only make collectors happy, but Christmas enthusiast as well. Without a doubt, I will be buying an extra set of these stamps to frame and add to my holiday decor. social media to reach broader, more diverse audiences to engage more interest in stamp collecting.

“These cheerful stamps portray Santa Claus flying through the air in his sleigh,” said Stephen Kearney, manager, Stamp Services. “With a cargo of toys and gifts produced in his workshop by elves, he lands on the rooftop of house after house and slides down the chimney to leave presents for girls and boys of all ages. Santa's annual journey is joyfully captured in this block of four holiday stamps, with two rows of two stamps each presenting a classic image of Santa and his reindeer circling around snow-covered rooftops.”
